In the late 1800's, pneumatically controlled player pianos were enhanced to contain many other instruments, which were automatically played to simulate a complete band. While officially called an Orchestrion, today the instrument is widely known as a 'Nickelodeon'. As much fun today now as they were at the turn of the century, nickelodeons provide hours of entertainment and make a unique addition to commercial venues like restaurants and hotels as well as family rooms.
